Small cleanouts, garage decluttering, heavy materials like concrete
20-Yard Dumpster
Approx. 20' × 7' × 4' · Roughly 6 pickup-truck loads
Mid-size renovations, roofing, large cleanouts
30-Yard Dumpster
Approx. 22' × 7' × 6' · Roughly 9 pickup-truck loads
Large remodels, construction sites, commercial projects
40-Yard Dumpster
Approx. 22' × 7' × 8' · Roughly 12 pickup-truck loads
Major construction, demolition, large-scale commercial
How to choose
Start with your project type and a rough estimate of debris volume. Heavy materials (concrete, dirt, tile) often call for a smaller, lower-sided dumpster to stay within weight limits. Bulky, lightweight debris (drywall, packaging, furniture) can fill a taller container.
Rule of thumb
- Small cleanout or heavy material → 10 yard
- Mid-size renovation or roofing → 20 yard
- Large remodel or construction → 30 yard
- Major commercial or demolition → 40 yard
